YOU MUST USE A HEAT PRESS for all screens!
There is no charge for these screens aside from shipping and they are intended to be used with scrap garments so that you can learn both your heat press settings and how to press our screens. I suggest cutting each screen into 4-6" squares to press until you have perfected the high heats especially. Colors should be vibrant and you should be able to "see" the fibers of the garment through the ink in the screen when pressed correctly.
BUTTAH High Heats: the "feel" of these transfers on the transfer paper is smooth to the touch. This is our buttery soft screen print formula which is as close to a direct screen print as possible. This formula is opaque and slightly distressed and may look a bit different on light and dark apparel. Most of our designs are offered in this formula.
Application Instructions -
- Pre-press garment for 3 seconds to release any moisture
- Full Color: 360-365 degrees* for 7-9 seconds*
- Single Color 375 degrees for 8-10 seconds
- 60 PSI: 9/10 ~ HEAVIEST PRESSURE
- HOT PEEL - peel fast & even from corner as though ripping off a band-aid!
Recommended blank to use with this transfer: 100% cotton or cotton/polyester blend garments. Not recommended for this formula: polyester garments, ceramic blanks (mugs, plates, etc) or glass items
AUTHENTIC Low Heats: the "feel" of these transfers on the transfer paper is gritty to the touch. This is our traditional soft screen print formula which is very similar to a direct screen print feel. This formula is not opaque. Most of our single color metallic designs are printed in this formula.
Application Instructions -
- Full and Single Color: 325 Degrees* for 7-10 Seconds*
- 60 PSI: 9/10 ~ HEAVIEST PRESSURE
- HOT PEEL - peel fast & even from corner as though ripping off a band-aid!
*Each heat press can vary with time and temp. Use a laser temperature gun to verify all 9 points on your heat press paten to ensure even temperature. Be familiar with your press and how it runs. You may need to slightly adjust them up or down as well as press time. These are manufacturer recommendations only.*
Please do not order multiples of this item. Only one set will be sent.
*** KB Designs is not liable for transfers are garments once pressed. Heavy pressure is as high as possible (9/10 or 60 PSI) and if using a clamp press, it must be closed and in "locked" position. We recommend rechecking all 9 points on your heat press with your temperature gun every 10 minutes as many factors can cause the platen of the press for fluctuate up or down.***
